"A Red Hat Lady!"
Hi Jan, When I got back to my table my friend said I don't
believe what you just did.You just walk over & start talking
to those lady's & than pull up a chair & sit down. I said that's where we are different.I will tell
you more later. But glad to hear from you. Love & God Bless Ola Jan!! Just turned 54. First learned of RHS in Savannha,Ga.
2 yrs ago. Want to join, but don't know who to contact here.
I totally adore the whole enchilada. I live in Wilson, NC. I
know they have a branch here that is closed to new members.
I think there is another. This is the first name that came up
on my search. I enjoyed your site, jokes, pictures. I only I am what is known as an accomplished genius of collective useless trivia. I love to write, talk, window shop, and tell my sweetie how it should be done. All my friends know I love the Red Hat Phenomenon. Between Christmas and my birthday last week, I have accrued the following RHS "stuff": 3 "T-shirts",2 blouses, purse, socks, shoes, balloons, and a mini boa. Believe or not I don't have a RED HAT!!!! I was afraid everyone would know I had really lost it, if I went that far. I have not seen ANY ladies, women, girls,or even females wearing any hats around here. Of course there are plenty of ball caps and bandanas sporting around on the top of blondes, brunettes and red-heads (ALL with grey roots) in this region of the South. In Savannah I saw all sorts of regalia. And Atlanta, you don't want to hear about the "BOA" I saw wrapped around this 5'10" purple rhinestone and satin evening gowned "lady?" ..."Her" hair was about 2' high and more ringlets and curlets than Shirley Temple-let.. I think I could really get down with the program and boogie in Georgia. NC is about 15 years behind the rest of the country. Or, maybe its me,and, I need to stay home and appreciate my rural roots and all the glories of nature. NOT EVEN!!!! That may be ok for my Mama, well....my great Aunt Addie, but not me. I am ONLY 54 and I am not ready for the rocking chair, the Senior Citizen Center Garden Club & Quilting Society, or the Single's Senior Dance-a-thon. I see people I went to school with who look OLD. What happened??? Do I have to act their age? I think not. The days I feel 20 and look 40 are going to disappear soon and I don't want to miss a nano-second. By the time I turn 55, I may feel 90 and look 120 so I better get while the getting's good. Oh My Goodness, I just reread what I said and I sound like one of those women who write for the local fish-wrapper-?/news-paper. I think I am enjoying this too much...I am going to check the www.whatever and get some scoop on the RHS. Thank you so very much. I will consider you as my patron-Hat Saint. How's that? I begin my journey and will owe my progress to you.. Have a spectacular Sunday. Vickie Whitley, Ingenue...
